SyncPBX
A phone system you can actually administer.
SyncPBX is a business phone system built on Asterisk with a web interface over the top. Extensions, trunks, routing and voicemail are configured in a browser and stored in a database — not hand-edited across a pile of text files that only one person understands.
The call engine underneath is Asterisk, which means the behaviour is well documented and it interoperates with the SIP carriers and handsets you already have.
What it does
Administration in a browser
Extensions, trunks, inbound and outbound routing, and voicemail from one interface — without an SSH session and a text editor.
Configuration in a database
Every change is a record rather than a hand-edit, so the current state of the system is something you can query, review and reproduce.
Asterisk underneath
A mature, well understood call engine. Nothing about your dial plan is locked inside a format only we can read.
Carrier agnostic
Register with the SIP provider you already use. Bring your numbers, keep your rates.
Pairs with SyncSBC
Put SyncSBC at the edge for carrier registration, routing by number pattern and media handling, with SyncPBX behind it doing the call logic.
Ordinary Debian host
Apache, PHP and MariaDB on hardware you control or a virtual machine you already run. No appliance image required.

Where it runs
SyncPBX installs onto a standard Debian server and stores its configuration in MariaDB. It can sit on your own hardware, in a virtual machine on your existing estate, or on infrastructure we run for you.
If you would rather not operate a phone system at all, our hosted Cloud PBX service is the same technology with us looking after it.
