SyncPhone
Call and text from anywhere, on any platform.
One app for calls and messages
SyncPhone is a SIP softphone for Linux, macOS, Windows and iPhone. Point it at a PBX you already run, or get a number from us and skip the PBX entirely. It is the same app either way, and your calls and your text messages live in the same place.
It is developed in house at Synchresis Solutions on an unmodified PJSIP stack, so it speaks ordinary SIP to whatever you already have.
Key Features
Four platforms, one app
Linux, macOS, Windows and iPhone, all built on the same PJSIP core, so a call behaves the same wherever you take it.
Bring your own PBX
Works with FreePBX, FusionPBX and any standards-compliant SIP PBX. Three settings and you are registered.
Or get a number from us
Search by area code and order a number from inside the app. No PBX to build and nothing else to sign up for.
Text from the same app
Message threads sit beside your calls, with unread counts and push notifications, so texting is not a second app.
Multiple accounts
Register several SIP accounts at once and choose which one places the call.
Call recording
Record a call and manage what you have kept from a recordings list in the app.
Call history and redial
Every call is logged, and any of them is one click away from being dialled again.
Transfers and multiple calls
Blind and attended transfer, hold, and swapping between calls when a second one arrives.
Audio your way
Pick input, output and ringer devices separately, with speaker and microphone sliders during the call.
Wideband audio
Opus where quality matters and G.711 where compatibility does, with STUN for getting out through NAT.
Native on iPhone
CallKit integration, so SyncPhone calls use the iPhone's own call screen and show up in recents.
Diagnostics built in
A log viewer in the app, so a support conversation can start with evidence rather than guesswork.
Screenshots
Dialpad
Registered and ready, with calls running in the background.
Contacts
Contacts searchable by name or number.
Messages
Text conversations beside your calls, with unread counts.
Call history
Inbound, outbound and missed, all logged.
Recordings
Recorded calls kept together in one place.
Account setup
Point it at your own PBX, or sign in and take a number from us.
What is SyncPhone?
SyncPhone is a softphone: it registers to a SIP server and places and receives calls, with the call handling you would expect from a desk phone. Registration runs over UDP, TCP or TLS, STUN is there for NAT traversal, and the codec list covers Opus and G.711.
Where it goes further is the second half. A Synchresis account adds a phone number you choose yourself, text messaging with push notifications, and a message history that follows you between machines. Neither half requires the other. Run it against your own PBX and ignore the rest, or use the number we give you and never stand up a PBX at all.
Audio devices, ringer device, recordings and diagnostics are all handled in the app rather than left to the operating system, which is what makes the behaviour consistent across four quite different platforms.
